Exedra Hotel Cappadocia

I stayed at this hotel for three nights. The night I checked in the receptionist, didn’t know English at all. I had trouble to understand, and to communicate with her using a google translator. Somehow, I managed to check in. I was lucky to meet the gentleman who is a trainee at the same hotel, I would like to name him (Ali). he was really really helpful. He knew English really well and just to let you know that he knew five languages and he is only 20. At the time of check-in both my suitcases were broken by Turkish airlines and I needed to buy reasonable quality suitcase for my onward journey. In a small town it was a struggle to buy suitcase at night. Ali was helpful to organise a taxi for me and even accompanied me to help me to buy suitcases. Reception staff even couldn’t tell me that there is a restaurant who provides room Service. I came to know on the very last day that there is a restaurant and there is a room Service, which of course I utilised on my last night. Rooms were nice, spacious and air-conditioning was working well. Breakfast was available 4 levels below the reception and there was no lift. People who struggle to go down the stairs and come back again, will not be able to enjoy the breakfast at all ( I am one of them). There was no room service for the breakfast. We did not avail the breakfast service even for a single day. At the time of checkout in the morning, I had two big suitcases and requested for bellboy to get my luggage to the car. Unfortunately, they told me that there is no bellboy available before 7 am. I persisted. Somehow they managed a person who could get my luggage to the car which was appreciated. So for a four star hotel person with a reasonable knowledge of English should be available so that the basic communication can be established. This is tourist place, we came all the way from Australia to see this place( Cappadocia). I would not recommend this place to foreigners, save your money and go elsewhere with better staff hospitality.

I have a very horrible experience with this hotel. I stay there, at night time some one open my room door without informing although I put "Don't Disturb" at me door. Although I was awaking at that time what if it happened while my sleep time.anything could be happen. When I complained to hotel reception they don't show concern. One desk boy shown some seriousness n change my room immediately. All night time I spend with open eye n next day I change my hotel.

I stayed five nights at this hotel. The hotel room is nice and spacious. Unfortunately, my reservation was messed up and they brought me to a room with three beds when I only requested a double bed on my reservation. The breakfast was okay; they served the same meals every time, and the dinner was lovely. The room I stayed in was not soundproof and had no privacy. The landline phone did not work, and the air conditioner would turn off randomly. The customer service I received from the dining staff was fantastic; I would have given this place a 4/5. However, some of the receptionist staff are terrible and rude. I understand there's a language barrier, and I had to use Google Translate to communicate with some of them. During my check-out, one of the luggage attendant staff demanded that I tip him 100TL for getting my two checked luggage in my room. When I asked if he was joking, he told me it was customary to tip to get checked suitcases in rooms. I would have tipped him if he didn't have a rude demeanor. I would not recommend this place to foreigners, save your money and go elsewhere with better staff hospitality.

Worst ground staff, 1. The person sitting in the reception is very very rude, when asked for a dental kit he told he’d cost me for that, when I argued regarding it’s a basic amenity to be provided he told he could give only one, answered most of the questions while surfing casually on his phone. He was rude, disrespectful and least interested in providing any hospitality. Hated my stay here though the rooms were good. 2. The restaurant staff wasn’t interested in helping me with vegetarian dishes, I starved eating only fruits for 2 days, because nobody wanted to help. Good rooms and view, but with such a behaviour of the staff made our group hate the stay bigtime.

We had booked 3 executive suite rooms at Excedra, . Post check in, we were taken to another closeby hotel, Vigneron, which was NOT what we’d booked. The gentleman at the counter was adamant, and insisted that this was a sister property of Excedra , and convinced us to stay there.. The rooms were just average. For food, we had to go to “Excedra “. The man at the reception and lady (senior staff) were very unfriendly. It was a very unpleasant experience.We had made a 2 night reservation, but were forced to check out because of this. The staff was very unfriendly. Please be careful and confirm about the reservation before setting out.
